Join us for a half-day Jumping Croc Cruise on the Adelaide River, a popular tourist attraction in Darwin. Experience the opportunity to observe dangerous and aggressive predators in their natural habitat.

From Darwin city, we travel southeast for about 60km to the Marrakai wetlands, inhabited by over 280 native bird species and 117 reptile species, including the well-known saltwater crocodiles.

The Top End of Australia is inhabited by over 100,000 saltwater crocodiles, primarily in and around Darwin, Mary River, and the Adelaide River region. Therefore, you can expect to see a significant number of them throughout the day in the natural waterways of the Northern Territory.

The saltwater crocodile is the largest reptile in the world. It’s one of the oldest living creatures, from the time of the dinosaurs. These creatures can grow up to 6 metres long and weigh 1000kg. One crocodile, known as ‘Sweetheart’, gained notoriety for chewing motors off boats and stealing cows. Sweetheart was captured near Adelaide River and died in 1979. However, it has been preserved in the Darwin Museum.

Our staff is required to have Wildlife Permits issued by National Parks and Wildlife to ensure the safety and well-being of animals during our interactions with them.

The weather conditions in the Top End can fluctuate rapidly and be quite intense at times. Temperatures can soar to over 40+ degrees Celsius in the dry season and drop dramatically in the evening. Before that, we recommend checking the average temperatures for the time of year you’re travelling and packing table clothing. In the case of rain or harsh weather, expect your tour to go ahead unless otherwise advised by the provider.
