Excavations of scientists have shown that even 23 thousand years ago on the territory of the modern Gold Coast lived people. Europeans began to settle here in the early 19th century, and the development of the region as a tourist center began in the 20s of the last century. Safety

Geography
The Gold Coast is located in the southeast of Queensland, south of the state capital Brisbane. Officially, the region stretches along the coast from Logan City and Russell Island to the border with New South Wales.
